Why We Built This Site
North Carolina court information can be public while still being hard to route. A court date, a Case Summary, a filed document, and a certified copy do not always come from the same channel. Brunswick County has one local court-file custodian, the Brunswick County Clerk of Superior Court, and the current public online route is the statewide eCourts Portal. This resource puts those distinctions, official links, and local department contacts in plain language so a reader can begin with the office that actually holds the record.
What You Will Find Here
The pages focus on public court procedures and the channels documented by the Judicial Branch.
- Docket routes: official information about criminal dockets and civil dockets in Brunswick County.
- Settings: ways to check the court calendar, Search Hearings, and local schedules.
- Case lookup: how a case search uses Portal names, record numbers, and filters.
- Records: the Clerk route for court records, plain copies, and certifications.
What We Cannot Do
This privately operated resource has no connection to the North Carolina Judicial Branch, Brunswick County Clerk of Superior Court, or any court. It does not operate a docket system or take action in a case.
- It cannot retrieve an official case file or docket for a reader.
- It cannot set, change, or verify a court setting.
- It cannot seal, amend, or remove a court record.
- It cannot issue a certified copy or explain how a ruling applies.
- It cannot promise that an outside system’s current information is complete.
Only the Clerk or the court holding a case can provide an official or certified court document. Portal is a public research channel, not a certification service.
Search Partners
Some content pages contain a search box operated by an outside provider. That provider controls its results, terms, pricing, and data handling. A referral fee may be earned if a visitor uses a paid service through that provider. Official Brunswick County court information remains available through the Clerk and North Carolina Judicial Branch channels identified throughout this resource.
